ARTIST'S TALK
About
Kazakh contemporary artist Erbossyn Meldibekov has been exhibiting for well over a decade throughout Central Asia and internationally, includingthe inaugural Central Asian Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennial and is renowned for his provocative sculptural installations and new media
works that combine satire and politics to playfully tease out the complexities of the post-Soviet condition. On the occasion of his first solo exhibition
in the United Kingdom, "The (Dis)Order of Things," Meldibekov will discuss his artistic practice with Aliya de Tiesenhausen a Kazakh modern
and contemporary art critic and PhD candidate at London's Courtauld Institute of Art.
