A fresh exhibition created from the Walker Art Gallery's impressive collection of early 20th century British masterpieces. New Radicals highlights some of the key art groups that flourished in this distinctive era, including the New English Art Club and the Camden Town group. It also examines individual artists whose work stood apart from their contemporaries such as Cecil Collins, L S Lowry and Lucian Freud. A chance to gain a new perspective on familiar favourites such as Sickert's ‘Bathers, Dieppe' alongside paintings rarely on display. At the Walker Art Gallery until 20 September 2009.
