THE WILD: EMMA RUSHTON AND DEREK TYMAN

About

‘The Wild' is a new work by artists Emma Rushton and Derek Tyman commissioned by Crescent Arts, which will be shown for the first time at Crescent Artspace (Wood End) in Scarborough from 11th July to 15th August. ‘The Wild' combines several elements which, at first sight, may seem rather unlikely. Cacophonous sounds of rock bands filmed and recorded in rehearsal; a reconstruction of the cabin built by the American writer Henry David Thoreau (originally on the banks of Walden pond in Massachusetts in 1845); a tree-like hoarding or sign; leather motorbike jackets painted with animal motifs.
