Townley and Bradby, Helen Stratford, A Kassen show documentation from their residencies. During June, artists Townley and Bradby will create an intimate portrait of the landscape and the communities around Wysing through a series of brief events; public readings on public benches, sowing a meadow with yellow balloons, and chalking out the patterns created in the village car park by the flurry of arrivals at nursery drop-off time. And during August Helen Stratford will use site-specific and audio-based interventions to make visible the practices that produce and maintain public space in the nearby settlement of Cambourne. Gathered by Helen during her residency, these practices include the voices of local residents, teenagers, groundsmen, road sweepers, light scouts, planners, and people working on their allotments. Documents of these residencies will be shown alongside A Kassen's new video work Minus Roof.
