About

Curated by Jane Neal, Calvert 22's Artistic Director, the exhibition examines the continuing relevance of the notion of the ‘Hero' to a group of artists who grew up under communism in Russia and Eastern Europe and witnessed the impact of its disintegration. Artists on show will include Zsolt Bodoni, Adrian Ghenie, Vitaly Pushnitsky, Peter Sudar, Serban Savu and Alexander Tinei. Many of the works will be on show for the first time in the UK.
