Zachary Beer is both a Fine Artist and a Molecular Biologist whose oil paintings are influenced by his passion for the beauty of the biological structure that is found in the molecular make up of every single thing on this earth.

His paintings explore the motifs found at the molecular level; working with oils, Beer creates images expressing the nuances in real, subtle concrete structures that are then transposed and transformed by the artist’s imagination. He takes us to an exquisite hidden world beyond the merely visible; where change is constant, and movement is certain. Beer shows us the life forms that exist at the primordial level.

Are we studying under a microscope or squinting at the stars? Is it a dream or reality, a fact or fancy? The fantastical world that Beer creates through exploring the very stuff of life, that which forms us becomes as vast and all encompassing as the universe itself.
