For this show the three artists involved all share a wonderfully fresh approach to colour and form. Anne Wallace’s style is bold, energetic and full of life. Simple arrangements of flowers are brought to life with sweeping brush strokes and texture. The use of colour is very important to Carol Hosking-Smith, she works intuitively, creating lyrical improvised paintings in strong colours as a response to the intense light in Cornwall. Jane Ansell’s paintings take on a soft-focussed photographic form providing a depth of field that gives an almost three dimensional feel to her work.
