Testing Grounds, Live Art & Music: Call For Applications

About

Testing Grounds invites artist applications for performances at South Hill Park, Bracknell, on the 31st of October 2009. Testing Grounds is a performance platform and development opportunity for established and emergent artists actively exploring Live Art or music, including Experimental Theatre, Performance Art, Sound Art and Movement. Applicants must commit to develop and present a new piece of work, or take past work in a new direction. Testing Grounds aims to be a supportive opportunity to take risk, to test new ideas rather than reproducing a set performance. For the event at South Hill Park we are looking for proposed new works with a strong crossover between Live Art and music or sound. Music or sound works should have a strong visual element; and vice-versa, Live Art pieces should include in a significant way aspects of sound or music. This crossover can be manifested in content, in format, in structure or in context. We offer a fee and production support. Please contact Nadege Derderian, nadegederderian@hotmail.com for information to apply. Deadline: 13th July 2009. This event is a partnership between Testing Grounds and South Hill Park (Outi Remes and William Trevelyan) and is financially supported by Arts Council England, South East.
