Fashion, Jewellery, Photography and Video for Artists

Morley Gallery is delighted to celebrate student achievement at MADE09.

This three-part exhibition showcases the creativity and talent of Morley's adult learners. Highlights for 2009 include the work of students in ceramics, printmaking, fashion and jewellery, and for the first time the exhibition will feature displays of video and photography.

In the spotlight first of all, a selection of the work of students in ceramics and papermaking. Morley's ceramics students are regular winners of the V&A competition ‘Inspired By', and this is a great opportunity to see their work. Attention then turns to printmakers and bookbinders, some of whom have already exhibited with distinction this year at the Mall Galleries and British Museum. Last but not least, we show the work of students in fashion, jewellery, photography and video. Morley College is fortunate to have among its teaching staff eminent artists like Jane Smith, whose work is currently on show at the V&A' ‘Hats'. In all three parts of MADE09 some work will be for sale at affordable prices.
