Japanese design to Yorkshire

About

Come and explore the creative imaginations of the Japanese designers Ryumei Fujiki and Fujiki Studio, as their temporary structure and designs all the way from Tokyo are displayed both within and outside the The Orangery.

Aqua-scape is a cocoon like urban folly or hide out designed and constructed by the Japanese designers Ryumei Fujiki and Fujiki Studio. The Aqua-scape design is inspired by diverse sources such as origami and jellyfish, the principles of folding paper have been adapted to folding plastic. To support this structure Beam Gallery will be displaying an exhibition about Ryumei Fujiki and his design practice, which is often inspired by nature.
