Within Nick Fox's practice, paintings and objects are informed by romantic idealisation, artifact, and social codes of the past. Drawings are interwoven with competing perspectives of decoration and craft, creating elusive narratives of desire. A series of small objects created over the past year and a half and made entirely from skins of paint, forms the backbone of this exhibition. The origins are drawn from the metaphorical language of sexual desire and courtship embedded in Victorian floral codes, and the veiled symbolism of Vanitas paintings
