Te Deum to the Wrath of God

Te Deum to the Wrath of God presents the final chapter of Clément’s Wendy’s World series. In the background of the works there is often a building, a landscape, a ruin, or more accurately a photographic image, which the artist has previously taken and then has used as a stage backdrop. In the foreground there are toy figures, miniature magazines, false-modelled landscapes that merge with the backdrop. There is also always the ever-present Wendy – a blond, blue bowed blurred figure acting as the viewer, the voyeur, the artist?
