An Evening of Performances with Patrick Coyle and Holly Slingsby

On the opening night of 'You cannot step twice into the same river' exhibition, Patrick Coyle will present a performance in the form of a walk from the River Thames to the gallery. Created during time spent on-site in Battersea Park and a variety of cultural references he builds a dizzying narrative of disparate thoughts offering a complex interpretation of a seemingly simple place. A second performance by artist Holly Slingsby will present an interpretation of religious reliquary, three women searching for the authentic Holy Grail by testing various versions on the duck pond. The home crafted grails and amateurish choice of setting suggests the senselessness of searching for authenticity. The opening night will start with a private viewing in the gallery followed by Slingsby’s performance which will commence at 7.00pm. This will be followed by Coyle’s performance which begins under Chelsea Bridge at 8.00pm. No booking required
