Short course: Digital Design: An Introduction

Taught by a design professional, for developing graphic designers, this course will provide you with an overview of digital image-making and demonstrate how image can be manipulated across print and online platforms. Layout, illustration and image editing are central to the work of a designer, each perfectly executed with the aid of the key Adobe design packages: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. We will help you to familiarise with the interface and basic tools within each programme as you learn how to use these creatively and effectively. We will look at creating artwork for different printing methods and for use online. The course will cover a range of tools and methods, encouraging students to experiment with a combination of processes best suited to their individual aims and preferred application.
