About

John Timberlake's largest work to date throws up intriguing questions through its recall of the staged photograph and earlier traditions of apocalyptic landscape painting. The discussion on 25 May with Martin Myrone, Lead Curator, pre 1800 British Art at Tate Britain and Joy Sleeman, lecturer in History and Theory of Art at UCL Slade School of Fine Art will focus on our relationship to the landscape genre as experienced through the shifting forms of contemporary art. Free Event, Booking advised: info@beaconsfield.ltd.uk This event forms part of the SLAM Fridays late openings. Find full listings and plan your itinerary at: http://www.southlondonartmap.com/
