To accompany Phillip Reeves and Jim Woodall’s exhibition “Abandoned Land: Sharp Continent” the artists present a film exploring the ideas set out in Constant’s ’New Babylon’ in the virtual world of Second Life.

Interplaying Second Life with a real life ‘dérive’ – a method of moving through urban terrain in a manner which is determined by the whim of the traverser – the artists form a discursive narrative on the objects they come across, and discuss ‘New Babylons’ merits, failures and limitations.

Seats are on a first come, first serve basis on the day. If you would like to reserve a seat in advance then please send an email galleryassistant@vitrinegallery.co.uk, stating the number of seats you would like to book.
