Want to do some printing and want to try a bit of everything? Our Taster Course will be just perfect for you! As an introduction to East London Printmakers' studio, the course offers a quick taste of four different printmaking techniques across either two days or four evenings. You will familiarise yourself with the studio equipment as an ideal hands on experience for beginners. Linocut: This is a relief process that involves cutting the plate and rolling ink on the surface. Dry Point: This is an intaglio technique that relies on an inscribed line into an aluminium plate. Fabric Printing: This is a process of applying coloured patterns and motifs to various textiles using either blocking printing, stencil or screen-printing techniques. Screenprinting: This is a water based technique, applying paper masks to a screen and printing with acrylic inks. For more information or to book please visit our website.
