This exciting exhibition will be the first artistic collaboration between award winning artist Chick and his son, Daniel, a young aspiring photographer.

A great deal of Chick’s work is inspired by the Clyde coast, its harbours and the Scottish Maritime Museum at Irvine Harbourside. Chick who is
well known for his figure work, still life and Mediterranean scenes, is also a keen photographer. “My camera is my sketch book during my travels. This could be a rare opportunity to show some of my photographs as works in their own right. The Scottish coastal towns and villages, the sea and the shore are a constant backdrop
and inspiration”

Daniel’s work is inspired by the people and places around his home in North London, as well as music festivals and urban events that he attends. His work focuses around the alternative side of life in the capital, capturing unique moments otherwise hidden to the tourist eye. “My camera allows me to capture the life and sounds of the street with a heightened sense of awareness and vision…sometimes the best shots are those which capture the mood and emotions of a moment in an instant.”

Exhibition launch will be followed by music from Chick in the HAC Theatre.
