New Fabric Printing Course at East London Printmakers

Geared towards those who have attended Screenprint On Fabric Beginners and understand how to make screens and print, but who want to learn how to print multi-layered repeats and develop pattern design skills. Attendees will learn principles of repeat pattern design and print through traditional techniques and with the aid of Adobe Photoshop. The course focuses on producing multi-layered prints with emphasis on developing technical knowledge, i.e. using registration bar and stops and designing for print. Attendees should come prepared with digital images/sketches to work from and bring a notebook. Helen Ashton studied Fine Art at London Metropolitan University and specialised in printmaking.
