The Jam Factory presents two recent series of photographs by Spanish photographer, Dario Sanz Padilla, whose images are inspired by the stories of the people he meets and the places he explores.
‘Relocated’ is a series which addresses that generation of Spaniards who, due to the rising and ubiquitous domestic unemployment, have emigrated in search of work. Each photograph offers a narrative, presenting journeys of reassignment, reinvention and self-discovery. Resonating with the photographer’s personal experience of travel and employment, the series is a constantly evolving work in progress as he charts the oscillating fortunes of ‘Generation Y’.
This exhibition also features examples of Dario’s travel photography.
Dario bought his first SLR in the winter of 2005 whilst studying Media at University. From wedding photography (a field he loves to work in and is continually active in) to a more experimental approach, this medium has been a passion of which Dario has been keen to share.
"Right now, I am keeping my eyes open, trying to enjoy myself as much as I can, freezing life in frames."
