Exhibition, Reading Room and Performance to celebrate women at George's House Gallery International Women's Day has been observed since 1910 - when women were demanding a right to vote and better working conditions. There is a lot to celebrate and still more to do to achieve true equality. To mark International Women's Day on 8th March a group of local women artists, writers and musicians will be hosting an exciting feminist exhibition, reading room, discussion platform and performance by women and for everyone to explore. You are warmly invited to the exhibition and participatory projects in the gallery from 11am — 5.00pm. There will also be a poetry performance and a series of free lunchtime talks.
