Explore architecture through photography and collage!

About

Suitable for 5 — 15 year olds This workshop will explore architecture through photography and collage, blending the borders of documentation and imagination. The works created will show multiple refractions of architecture through layers of photography, glue and paint. Beginning with a walk around the outside of the gallery, participants will use cameras to capture different compositions of buildings. These images will then be explored through collage, creating exciting transformations. Alexandra Hughes is an Artist and Artist Educator, delivering both experimental and skill-based workshops to a range of ages and abilities. Alexandra's own studio practice examines thresholds of time and place through photography. Alexandra graduated with an MFA from Slade School of Fine Art (2008) and previously a BA Hons in Photography from University College Falmouth (2004). http://helloartisteducator.tumblr.com/ Please note: unfortunately due to the installation of this exhibition, this event does not have wheelchair access.
