About

This is the 7th in the series of Inside Design events where leading designers, companies and brands have been invited to share their creative journey. Brand and communication masters Fetherstonhaugh will exhibit some of their favourite projects at Great Western Studios, the West London hub for the creative industries. Brothers - Patrick and Tristram directors of Fetherstonhaugh are passionate about communicating luxury through high-quality print work, engaging websites, bespoke books and magazines. Their Inside Design show will display their impressive creative journey through the last 30 years. Patrick and Tristram Fetherstonhaugh, will host a talk and drinks evening which will provide insight into their working practice. Fetherstonhaugh are recognised for their impeccable understanding of what their clients want. Their reputation in the design world has been so good that it allows them to work from word of mouth alone and retain their client base over many years . The exhibition will provide visitors with an insight into Fetherstonhaugh's unique approach to their practice by displaying their design and creative processes. They are interested in how styles, the business and the practicalities of design have changed over time. There will also be a deconstruction of the process behind three of their projects - The Coutts Contemporary Art Foundation, 90's in which they have produced catalogues for artists, interviewed, photographed, wrote and commissioned articles and even made a series of short films for each of the awards. Finch's Quarterly Review, 2000's which is celebrating 5 glorious years of the publication and their GalleriesNow website, 2010's which has a clever user interaction capability. The three projects display just how versitile the company can be across many areas of communication. Fetherstonhaugh immerse themselves fully in each of their projects, which means that it is not just the design look and feel that they deliver but all areas of the projects. Because of this, each project is communicated consistently from start to finish. Patrick and Tristram Fetherstonhaugh were raised in an artistic household. Their mother was in book publishing, their father a designer and they were exposed to modern and contemporary art from an early age, spending time in the studios of artists, photographers and designers. Patrick started the family business straight after A-levels, Tristram studied at Oxford University and the Royal College of Art, they were raised with an appreciation of the combination of the academic and the artistic, a combination that would go on to inform much of their work practice.
