Introduction to Traditional Woodwork Hand-tools (March 2014)

Announcing the fourth of our core skills events.
This three hour workshop is an informative, practical introduction to the proper use of traditional woodwork hand-tools. This will cover a variety of workmanship for example how to sharpen your chisel, how to use a marking gauge, a plane and a variety of saws.

Proper usage of tools will include the following: carpenter square, chisels, planes, mallets, marking gauge, combination square , sliding bevel, hand drill, tennon saw, gentleman’s saw and a coping saw.

It is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear.

Safe workshop practice will be covered.

Basic materials are included.

Course cost: £20
