Howden has always been interested in documenting the phenomenon of Scottish sub-cultures. In particularly the resurgence of clothes, culture and the sounds of the 1950s when teddy boys, teddy girls and the emergence of rock and roll were the dominant forces amongst teen culture. The time when drape jackets, drainpipe trousers, zoot suits, brogues and brothel creepers made you swish and cool. Large colour photographs, clothing, jewellery and records are amongst the items on display in this fascinating exhibition.
