About

The Pop Art collection at Wolverhampton Art Gallery began in the mid-sixties with the purchase of the ICA print portfolio printed at Kelpra Studios in 1964, which included work by Derek Boshier, Peter Philips, Bridget Riley, Peter Blake, Patrick Caulfield and other contemporary artists of the time. In the last 50 years, this collection has become one of the strongest regional collections in the UK, with the addition of other stars of the Pop era including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Richard Hamilton and Pauline Boty.
