Talented artist Mary Herbert will be exhibiting her animal drawings and paintings. Aiming to produce realist pictures, Mary uses pastel and painting techniques which have been mastered over the years, to capture the dynamic forms of creatures, such as horses, sheep, dogs and other pets.
Mary's passion for animals and drawing has led to become a portrait artist since 1990, She studied art at Loughborough College, and after, undertook a course in photography at Salisbury College. Mary then worked as a Medical Photographer for three years, which enabled her to study the anatomy in depth. Her understanding and attention to detail of the anatomy can clearly be seen in her work.
