Amina Menia was born in 1976 in Algiers, where she lives and works. Amina has showed her work nationally and internationally, including Museum of Modern Art (Algiers), Cornerhouse (Great Britain), Museum of Contemporary Art (Leon), Royal Hibernian Academy (Dublin) and the National Museum of Carthage (Tunisia).
Anthony Downey holds a Ph.D from Goldsmiths College and sits on the Editorial Board of Third Text, acts as a Consulting Editor for Open Space (Vienna), and edits Ibraaz, the latter a research forum on the Middle East and North Africa (www.ibraaz.org).
