Dollar$ vs. Prayers is a gallery based installation. It will run for three weeks at Westminster reference library.
'Two walls face each other, on one wall 210 individually defaced $1 dollar bills are displayed.... Opposite this, 116 small stoical 'Prayer' paintings reside resplendently...'
Kim Wan (b. 1970) is an artist of Malay-Chinese and English heritage. He has worked with organizations such as the National Portrait Gallery, TATE Modern, London ’s Institute of Contemporary Art and the Sanlun Yishu Global Project in Beijing. Exhibitions include shows in New York, Berlin and Siena, Italy. He also performed in 'Pandemonium' at the Olympic opening ceremony, London 2012 directed by Danny Boyle.
