Filmmakers explore the notion of the ‘city’ using animation, documentary, and abstract film in this programme of shorts. Highlights include Finnish duo Hannes Vartiainen and Pekka Veikkolainen’s Helsinki doc, Hanasaari A, and Katerina Athanasopoulou’s gorgeous experimental animation, Apodemy, which features significant resemblances to spaghetti junction.

Flatpack Festival has teamed up with Colmore Business District (CBD) to bring Film Bug, a mini festival of film to Birmingham’s business district. From Thursday 21 March to Saturday 23 March Film Bug will take over venues across the Colmore Business District for a diverse programme of features, shorts and activities to coincide with the start of the seventh Flatpack Festival (21-31 March).
