Exhibition of student work

Inspired by Toby Paterson’s interpretation of Pasmore’s Apollo Pavilion and the Sunny Blunts housing estate, this exhibition showcases some of the work produced by young people in East Durham as part of an education programme.

Over one hundred students from East Durham College, The Academy at Shotton Hall and Peterlee St Bedes Catholic Comprehensive School have contributed work, ranging from drawings and prints to sculpture and digital design. The work charts how the young people have begun to navigate, describe, record and celebrate their local built heritage in this first year of a two-year project.

This is a Northern Architecture education programme commissioned by Apollo Pavilion Community Association and Durham County Council Arts Team, in collaboration with Northern Print.
