The Yard: Janek Schaefer's Local Radio Orchestra 

In a live composition, Janek Schaefer uses surround sound, a short range FM transmitter and hand held radios located within the audience to play with our sense of place and scale. The composition weaves together found sound textures, spatial sonorities and the Shruti Box with its lulling and engulfing energies.

Don't miss Janek Schaefer's Local Radio Orchestra in The Yard at Modern Art Oxford on Saturday 5 May, 11am-5pm, free admission, just drop in. Janek's pirate station hijacks the entire radio spectrum within a short radius of The Yard. Visitors are invited to re-tune the radios to make new arrangements. Click here for further details.
